Insurance

It’s important to separate Dental Care from Dental Insurance. Here, rather than quick-fix “insurance-centered dentistry,” we practice “patient-centered dentistry.”

There are many challenges, as we see it, with “insurance-based dentistry.”

First, insurance-based dentistry may limit your choices about procedures and options. As your dentists, we want you to be able to take advantage of the best possible techniques for good, long-term dental health.

In fact, we offer you what we would choose for ourselves and our families. We know what technology and materials work best under what situations. So we'll give you the information you need to make sound decisions for yourself, understanding that the ultimate choice is always yours.

The problem is that much insurance-based dentistry only permits procedures or materials that may only last, for example, 7-10 years, rather than long-term solutions that may last 20 years. Sometimes a short-term solution is fine, but most of our patients appreciate and prefer “doing it right once and for all”.

Our recommendation is to give you the optimal and longest-lasting solution for your overall dental health based on what you actually need, rather than statistical averages that may limit your choices or quick fixes that merely cover-up an underlying problem. We do not want you to risk needing your dental work redone over and over again or risk losing teeth and having poor health. We caution you against making strictly insurance-based decisions that could only cause you more pain, more suffering, and more money later on.

Much better to do it right the first time.

We offer other options to finance your dental procedures.

Dental insurance is not meant to be a "pay-all"; it is only meant to help share the cost of your dental care, and many routine dental services are not always covered.

We're happy to process your claims. As your dental health care providers, our relationship is with you, not your insurance company. We will gladly process your insurance claims as a courtesy; however, all charges remain your responsibility from the date services are rendered. Your insurance is a contract between you, your employer, and the insurance company, so we are not a party to that contract. Because of that, we don't know every condition and requirement for your particular insurance plan. We'll help you in every way we can. Please speak with Lori, Sue, or any one on our team if you ever have any questions about the management of your account.

Our financial policy allows us to provide you with the best treatment available and does not limit your health to just what your plan covers. We will be happy to submit your insurance paperwork for you at the time of treatment. If you have any questions about your insurance, please feel free to call for more information. We offer several payment options for your convenience. We accept cash, as well as all of the major credit cards, and Care Credit.
